A fulfillment of time
Anything that you choose to partake in, man made or man organized of this earth and not of God. Time spent watching a TV program or better yet time spent viewing the TV.Going to shop for those cables for that computer? Need a extra pair of shoes that match that outfit? Spend time reading, but was it to build or fix something, but what is that something? Was that something to make things prettier, more pleasing to the self eye or of this earth, friends that come over. Does any of this fall into this scripture?
18)Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, 19)And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God. 20)Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, 21)(Touch not; taste not; handle not; 22)Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men? 23)Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.
1)If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2)Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3)For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
I say yes. Maybe you need to improve and I do too. No not maybe, but yes we must and not tomorrow for that is a evil person talking that is of this world.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7670CXvPX0&feature=channel_video_title M7670CXvPX0I just posted this past post yesterday. Normally, I have at times great spaces between my posts, even so churning out this one I shall. God bless! I hope you have a blessed walk with the Lord Jesus today. Please enjoy this video.
1/31/12 UPDATE: I don’t know what is going on with my youtube posts here on wordpress. Youtube has been doing a lot of changes lately and I am probably going to move my videos to a new Vimeo account. I am really not happy with the new changes to Youtube.
I was out and about heading to a park on a back road so I could enjoy a little mountain cycling and came upon this church.
I wanted to just share the pictures with you and have some light harted blogging about what I was thinking.
This church got my attention cause its peaceful looking and was well maintained, which leads me to believe God was doing some work in there. I mite have to stop by on the way to my trail and visit in on a service before my trail ride. It is a way out but we are all God’s children and I like being exposed to my brothers and sisters I don’t normally meet.
A vacation from my normal home away from home, to this one haha.
My pastor asked me if I would post one of his poems on this blog. So I was planning to do this earlier, but I was doing other things that took up a lot of time and did not get a chance until now. I apologize Pastor if your happen to be reading this, that I didn’t get to this sooner. This was given to me a little bit back in March. My Pastors personal site is here http://www.poemsnsuch.com/, for more of his great poems please visit.
I explained a few days ago to a sister(of mine in Christ) in one of her past posts, how I like/believe in big impacts in small choice words. Her blog is at http://iftodaywehear.wordpress.com/ . So Deb, if your reading this, please enjoy sister. I thought of you and the great witnessing you have on your blog site, at the time when I posted this.
The idols of my heart were many,
I bowed beneath Law’s heavy hand;
Satan’s chains held me a prisoner,
Burdened down by sin I could not stand.
Then there before me stood the answer,
Guilt and slavery would soon be loss;
Sin’s shackles opened, falling from me,
When I knelt humbly before His cross!
“The preaching of the cross is to them that perish, foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:18
